Therapy & Counseling

Support for Anxiety, Trauma, and Related Mental Health Concerns — in-person or online

Trauma & Anxiety

Over the years, my focus has been on supporting individuals who have experienced significant trauma, whether from a single event such as a car accident or sexual assault, or from ongoing and repeated experiences like bullying, relational trauma, and childhood abuse or neglect.

In my practice, I mainly focus on helping clients overcome challenges such as:

  • Anxiety (e.g., Panic Attacks and Phobias)

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Complex Trauma (C-PTSD)

  • Childhood trauma and emotional neglect

I work with individuals (18 years and older) who are committed to improving their mental health and overall well-being.

Evidence-based Therapy

I enjoy blending solution-focused, straightforward techniques with deeper emotional transformation, creating a therapeutic approach that is both practical and healing.

Although I’ve trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Imagery Rescripting and Reprocessing Therapy (IRRT).

How often should we meet?

While weekly or fortnightly sessions work well for many people, they’re not the only option. If your schedule is tight or you're looking for a focused one-off session or an intensive, we can find what works best for you. I value long-term work just as much as I enjoy short-term processes that bring quick clarity and change.

Please note that the ideal frequency can vary depending on the complexity and your needs.

It is important to me that you feel comfortable with my approach throughout the process. I am happy to address any questions or concerns that you might have.

Feel free to reach out.

Therapy Session Fees & Payment

A standard therapy session is 50 minutes and costs $240. Payment is processed automatically through the booking system at the time of your appointment.

Extended sessions are available and charged on a pro-rata basis.

You can book here.

Referral, MHCP, and Rebates

My services are available privately, without the need for a referral.

To access Medicare rebates, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, who will refer you to my practice. The referral can be sent to samantha@reprocesspsychology.com.au.

You are eligible for up to 10 Medicare rebates per calendar year, with each rebate valued at $141.83.

Please note, I do not offer bulk billing.

Additionally, my services are not intended for third-party funding arrangements such as Workcover.

My Motivation

I am passionate about working with you to discover the support that’s right for your unique needs and circumstances. My goal is to help you achieve lasting change, so you feel more confident and equipped to face both past and future challenges with resilience and clarity.

Feel rather than Think

We tend to get stuck when we try to rationalise emotional topics and we won’t experience any real change. I work hard to implement experiential techniques into our sessions (or into some of them).

Whenever possible, I will ask if you’d be willing to try another approach to feel rather to think. I found IRRT to be the most effective approach. Feel free to learn more about IRRT here.
