About Samantha Duroska -

Clinical Psychologist in Coffs Harbour

Evidence-based mental health support using CBT, IRRT and inner child work

Hi there, I’m Sammy.

Samantha Duroska Clinical Psychologist Coffs Harbour PTSD

I have a passion for creating a unique pathway toward emotional transformation - helping you feel differently, more at peace, and more like yourself again.

People often seek me out when they’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or burdened by anxiety or past trauma. Together, we find a way forward that works for you - a gentle, evidence-based process that helps you feel lighter, calmer, and more connected with yourself.

My experience in trauma therapy has helped me understand how to reprocess difficult emotions and create new paths forward. This approach is not only effective for PTSD, but also for a wide range of challenges, including anxiety and trauma, bullying, stress, adjustment difficulties, panic attacks, phobias, OCD, and the lasting impacts of childhood neglect or abuse.

In therapy, my goal is to explore what may be keeping you from moving forward. Often, it’s an unprocessed emotion or a painful memory that hasn’t yet been fully understood. Other times, it may be a disconnection from yourself - making it difficult to know what you need or how to soothe yourself with care and compassion.

Inner child work can be a powerful gateway to reconnect with yourself, nurture emotional healing, and build long-term resilience from within.

Based on the feedback I’ve received, some of our sessions might feel more emotionally intense than expected - but many clients also report feeling a deeper sense of clarity, strength, and self-worth. I’ve been described as calm, compassionate, and direct.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to take the next step. You can access my calendar and book a session online at a time that suits you.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Imagery Rescripting and Reprocessing Therapy (IRRT). I completed my clinical training at several universities across Europe and received additional qualifications from a CBT institute in Germany. After gaining experience in a range of hospital settings, I established a private practice in Germany to offer long-term support to my clients.

Eventually, my Australian partner and I relocated to Melbourne, and more recently, we settled in his hometown of Coffs Harbour. It’s here that I now offer therapy both in-person and online to clients across Australia. I also provide therapy and supervision, with services available in both German and English.

Outside of work, I love being outdoors and exploring the beautiful beaches around Coffs Harbour. I’m currently learning to surf! When I’m not out in the waves, you’ll probably find me baking banana bread or experimenting with sourdough — or curled up with a good novel.
