Meet Samantha Duroska
Clinical Psychologist and Board-approved Supervisor
Hi there, I’m Sammy
I have a passion for creating a pathway toward emotional transformation - helping you feel differently, more at peace, and more like yourself again.
People often seek me out when they’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or burdened by anxiety or past trauma.
My experience in trauma therapy has helped me understand how to reprocess difficult emotions. This approach is not only effective for PTSD, but also for a wide range of challenges, including anxiety and trauma, bullying, stress, adjustment difficulties, panic attacks, phobias, OCD, and the lasting impacts of childhood neglect or abuse.
In therapy, my goal is to help you explore what’s keeping you stuck.
Sometimes it’s an unprocessed emotion or a painful memory that hasn’t yet been fully understood.
Other times, it’s a disconnection from your emotions and needs that makes it hard to engage in self-care that truly feels restorative.
Inner child work is a powerful way to reconnect with yourself — cultivating a more nurturing, trusting inner relationship and strengthening your resilience.
Based on the feedback I’ve received, some sessions may feel more emotionally intense than expected, but many clients express relief that it’s more than just talk therapy.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Imagery Rescripting and Reprocessing Therapy (IRRT).
I completed my clinical training at several universities across Europe and received additional qualifications from a German CBT institute. After gaining experience in public and private hospital settings, I established a private practice in Germany.
Eventually, my Australian partner and I relocated to Melbourne, and more recently, we settled in his hometown of Coffs Harbour. Here on Gumbanygirr Country, I now offer therapy in-person and online to clients across Australia.
My services are available in both German and English.
Outside of work, I love going for long walks, especially exploring the beautiful nature around Coffs. When I’m not outdoors, you’ll likely find me reading a book or playing the cello.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to take the next step. You can access my calendar and book a session at a time that suits you.
Behind the scenes: I was registered as a Clinical Psychologist in Germany and now I enjoy practising in beautiful Australia.
